What is a surgical mask / medical disposable mask exactly?
Medical face masks, mouth and nose protective masks (MNS), or surgical masks, are disposable products that are usually used in clinics or medical practices. What is the difference to an FFP2 mask?
The difference to an FFP2 mask is that surgical masks are not intended for self-protection. What is the difference between a Type II and a Type IIR mask?
The main difference between the two types is that Type IIR is fluid-resistant and Type II is not. Both masks have a bacterial filtration efficiency of at least 98%.
What must the surgical mask / medical disposable mask fulfill?
Our masks meet legal requirements and the European standard EN 14683:2019-10 and are CE certified.
How should the mask fit?
The mask must fit over the mouth, nose, and cheeks. The edges of the mask must fit snugly to minimize unfiltered air being inhaled around the mask.
When should the mask be replaced?
The mask must be disposed of after single use, maximum wearing time 4 - 6 hours. If you notice that the mask is damp, it must be removed and disposed of because it impairs the filter performance. When removing the mask, only touch the straps.
Do the TypeIIR masks have an expiration date?
The masks are shelf-stable for 3 years after manufacture.
Where are the surgical masks / medical disposable masks manufactured?
The masks are manufactured in Turkey.
Are the masks imported by airplane?
